Toni L. Crippen, AAS, LP, NREMT-P, TDSHS EMS Educator

Toni began her journey in EMS as a teenager, being exposed to a volunteer first responder organization when her grandparents were ECAs with a local VFD.  Unfortunately, because of her age, she was not able to certify or actively participate.  Fast forward about 30 years and new opportunities present themselves.

 In 2004, Toni earned her certification as an ECA where she worked as a First Responder for a large corporation.  She eventually became more involved with the community and joined several other FROs where she volunteered her time doing medical standby for a variety of events including triage/medical support during Hurricane Katrina.  She continued on to EMT-Basic at which time, she decided to return to school and become a paramedic.

 Toni is now a Texas Licensed Paramedic, maintaining her National Registry certification and holding most card certifications.  She works full time for a rural 911 Emergency Service nestled between Austin/Houston/San Antonio, Texas.  In addition, Toni has a background in teaching/facilitating courses and now very much enjoys teaching our next generation of emergency services personnel.
