Grievance Policy
Work related problems can arise in any place of
employment. We hope individuals in our
company will try to reconcile differences on an individual basis. Should this not be possible, to resolve a
problem quickly and fairly, PERCOM has developed a grievance procedure for
contracted and paid staff using the following steps:
If
you have a problem, discuss the situation first with the individual(s)
concerned if at all possible. Most problems can be resolved with simple direct
communication between the involved parties.
If
that does not resolve the issue or you are not comfortable directly
communicating with the other concerned party(ies), contact the next person in
the PERCOM chain of command (Lead Instructor, Coordinator, or Program
Director). Most difficulties can be
settled promptly at this point. This
PERCOM supervisor/manager will typically respond in writing within five (5)
days of meeting with you.
If
the problem is not resolved to your satisfaction you may go to the Program
Director (or CEO if the Program Director has already been consulted or is one
of the involved parties) and verbally explain the problem with him/her; or you
may instead submit the problem to him/her in writing. This step should be taking within five (5)
working days after the previous PERCOM supervisor/manager has given his/her
decision on or after the incident giving rise to your grievance, whichever is
later. If the circumstances require it,
the CEO will conduct an investigation.
The Medical Director may be consulted as well depending on the basis of
the issue.
Following
his/her investigation, the CEO will respond in writing to your grievance. The decision shall be final and cannot be
appealed further.
