EMT Paramedic Online
Class Description
Thank You for your
interest in our Online EMT Intermediate to
Paramedic Course. We
are proud to offer one of the most advanced courses available to our
students. After completion of our course
you will be trained and prepared to deal with all levels of emergency situations
that a Paramedic would encounter in the field of EMS. There are some prerequisites for entering PERCOM's
Paramedic Course; you may view them here. In addition there are system
and software requirements that you should review.
EMT Intermediate applicants who did not complete their EMT Intermediate training with PERCOM can, with Program Director approval, Challenge our EMT Intermediate / Paramedic 1 Final Exam and Final Skills Assessment. A list of skills to be tested can be viewed here. There is a $350 fee for challenging these Exams. Applicants who successfully pass these exams on the first attempt will be allowed to register for PERCOM's Paramedic 2. Upon successful completion of Paramedic 2 the applicant will receive a Paramedic Course Completion Certificate from PERCOM and will be eligible to take the NREMT Paramedic Exam. EMT Intermediate applicants who fail one or both of the exams will be required to take PERCOM's Paramedic 1 Remediation Program. The fee for this course is $1050.(price may be reduced if the student owns paramedic textbooks) After successful completion of Paramedic 1, the student will be allowed to register and begin Paramedic 2.
NREMT EMT Paramedic 
Certification
Our course is approved
through Tyler Junior College by Texas Department of State Health Services and
will allow graduates to sit for the National Registry of EMT’s Paramedic
Exam. This course is designed
to meet and exceed the requirements for
EMT Paramedic certification as set forth by Texas Department of State Health
Services. Students enrolled in
PERCOM's Paramedic Course will be cleared to take the NREMT EMT Intermediate
Exam by PERCOM after successfully completing the requirements of Paramedic 1 and
passing the Paramedic1 Final Exam. You
are not required to take the NREMT Intermediate Exam to continue through the
course; it is offered as a choice for personnel that want to practice at a
higher level of certification while completing their Paramedic Course. Students who successfully complete PERCOM's
Paramedic course will receive a course Paramedic completion certificate from PERCOM and be marked as eligible to take the NREMT Paramedic examination.
The Paramedic course is designed to teach the depth and
breadth of the 1999 Paramedic National Standard Curriculum. Revisions are currently underway to ensure
that the program continues to exceed the minimum standards set by the National
EMS Scope of Practice Model.

Course
Hands on Skills Instruction and
Testing
Our EMT
Paramedic course requires Skills Practice
Sessions and a Final Skills Assessment which must be
coordinated with us through one of our approved Final Testing sites located state wide. At these sessions the Paramedic Student will
practice the skills the learned in the online setting and utilize them in
scenario based real world environment.
The cost of the necessary sessions to complete the course are included in the
base tuition. These sites have hard dates
set months in advance. These dates are
set based on student volume and availability and are subject to change.
After demonstrating minimal skills competency , you will be allowed to begin your Hospital and EMS
rotations. Currently clinical rotation sites are
available throughout Texas. After successful
completion of your rotations you will be ready to take the National Registry
Paramedic Exam.
Textbook 
Our course utilizes Nancy Caroline's Emergency Care in the Streets Sixth
Edition as our primary text, although you may utilize any
current EMT Paramedic text. You will also need supplemental Textbooks
for 3-Lead ECG, 12-Lead ECG, ACLS and PALS. We provide Basic Arrhythmias, Sixth Edition and 12-Lead ECG in Acute Coronary Syndromes as
our ECG supplemental texts, however you may use any appropriate 3 and 12
lead text. The only required texts are the ACLS
Provider Manual and the PALS Course
Guide which are distributed solely by the American Heart
Association. If you already have some or all of the Textbooks, please
contact finance@percomonline.comfor a reduced price invoice prior to paying for the course.
We recommend that students have a variety of reference materials as
well as textbooks by other authors. You can look in our Online Store
for additional material that may be ordered and links to online
reference material.

Students who do not pass the Challenge Exam can Register for Paramedic Remediation by click here. Please be aware that you will be required to pay with a credit card during the enrollment process.
